Beach Sculpture

Me and Ashley want to a "Beach Sculpture" day at Petone beach, run by the New Dowse, and we made this lean-to.

At the Marine Education Centre

I went to a Marine Education Centre with Annabelle.

There was a lot of starfish and there was an octopus and that black slimy thing is called a wandering sea urchin.

Zoo

I went to the zoo.

My cool holiday

I went to Australia for Christmas it was fun. I got a camera and I took these photos. Look at the view. isn't it cool. my Mum is pregnant.

Trip to Staglands

I went to Staglands and it was fun. They gave you a bag of food and you got to feed the animals with it.
That is why this Kunikuni pig is opening its mouth like that. You just drop food into its mouth.

We were lucky to see the peacock with his fan up. Beautiful isn't it?

This deer is the only deer that would eat from your hand - the others wouldn't.

This sheep is a very friendly sheep. Have you seen horns as curly as that?

Unicycle Championships

We went to the Unicycle Chapionships in Wellington on 2/1/10. They have people from all over the world. The night we went the group freestyle was on and it was all done on unicycles.

The annoying thing was that our camera's battery was flat so my Dad had to take photos with his cell phone, that's why the photos aren't very good, but apart from that we had a very good time.

The glass sliver

On the 10th of Decmber (my birthday) at school somebody broke a glass in the kitchen and they swept it up but there was a few splinters on the floor.

Since I didn't know that somebody had broken a glass in the kitchen I went into the kitchen and... stepped on two slivers of glass and then my Mum got one sliver out and we thought that it would be all right.

But there was still a sliver of glass in my foot. Of course we didn't know. Then it got infected, we cleared away the infection. But it got infected again. By now it had been three weeks so on the 30th December at 9:00am I went to the doctor's at Ropata. The doctor said (after feeling around a bit) he didn't think there was any glass in my foot. But to be on the safe side gave us a prescription to have an x-ray at the hospital so we went to the hospital and we had to wait in the waiting room for ages. Finally my name was called and I went in to the x-ray room 1 (the room where the arrow is pointing).

They took two x-rays they thought they found the sliver but decided to do an ultra sound just to make sure. They found it and put a mark on my foot so that they know where it was.

Then we had lunch. After that we had to go to another department and waited for ages then my name was called. I went into the room then I had injection in my foot that really hurt! The injection numbed my foot so the nurse could poke around with a needle without it hurting. He found the sliver of glass and then he gave me an ice block for being brave.
